Confused Newbie Question
Hello
I'm experimenting using the Stimulsoft example viewer (WebDemo/WebViewerFxDemo.aspx) and the ParametersInvoice.mrt
For my reports, I want the following:
1/ Load report in web page
2/ User enters parameters in the parameter block
3/ User clicks Submit
4/ Report is displayed in Viewer
BUT the way the demo works is:
1/ Load report in web page with "dummy" information
2/ User enters parameters in the parameter block
3/ User clicks Submit
4/ Report is displayed report in Viewer (using parameter information entered)
SO, to make the report work the way I want, I change the Report "Request Parameters" value to True (in the Report properties dialog)... AND
1/ Load report in web page
2/ UserEnter parameters in the parameter block
3/ Click Submit
4/ Report is blank
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
James

Re: Confused Newbie Question
Hi Vladimir
Something else I have found that may be related to this using the Report Designer (desktop version).
If a report requests variables from the user (e.g. "Request From User") and I choose the Web Preview tab, the preview doesn't ask me for the variables.
Report "Request Parameters" value is set to False.
Regards
James

Unfortunately for WinForms designer Web Preview tab has some limitations, particularly Request from User variables and interactive report features will not work.If a report requests variables from the user (e.g. "Request From User") and I choose the Web Preview tab, the preview doesn't ask me for the variables.
Thank you.
