Report Design Best Practices For Fast Report Rendering

Post by brianj774 »

Hi,

I'm noticing that I have some reports that can process a large amount of data very quickly, and then I have some reports that generate much slower, even though they have significantly smaller datasets.

My question is, can you provide a list of tips, that will assist report designers in creating efficient reports. For example, it is my expectation (though I've not tried to write a test yet), that groups cause a substantial slowdown when rendering.

Thanks! I think this notion will be very helpful...
