License Question

Hi,

i got a question due to the License Management.

When i role out my Application to the End Customer. Is it allowed that the Customer Company uses The Designer (only Called from Application) to Change the reports we delivered ?.

Or do they need to buy also a License for the Report designer ?.

You can deliver report designer (which called from your application) to your end-user customers without any restrictions.

Hi there,

i got another Question due to the License Agreement.

now we finished our Application and reports etc.

Our Customers asking for "creating/changing" the reports of our Application.

As u sayed allready there are no restrictions of giving the Customer the possibility to change reports.

Now my Question is, do i have to compile the Report .DLL's and need to add some kind of protection ?. Like binding the DLL's to the specific application ?.

Or is this not needed. I ask, cause the Customer "can" (if no protection is included), use the DLL's shiped with our product in other Application.

So question is, do we have to protect the DLL's or can we give them away like they are.

If a user will decide to do it - this is the infringement of our DLA. No ome developer is protected from this.
