I'm having a problem with upgrading. I installed the licensed version without uninstalling the trial version and now I can't uninstall either version.
When I run the uninstaller I get the following error:
The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2869.
I've also checked the GAC and there are no Stimulsoft assemblies in the GAC. I changed the references within the application to point to the licensed version instead of the trial but I still get the word Demo across my reports.
Some urgent assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.
The word 'Demo' is visible in only one case - when your application uses trial version of files somehow. Please scan windows\assembly folder for our Stimulsoft*.dlls and also VS sometimes makes it's own cache in Documents and Settings folder.
Our previous versions of installer could have such problems. Now we have fixed all of them. It is very strange that you received error messages during uninstall.
Anyway replacing trial dlls with registered dlls could resolve the issue in case if GAC is clear and VS Toolbox does not contain our tab too.
Thank you.

Ok, not sure exactly how I got this far but I managed to manually install the licensed versions to the GAC and now everything is working as I would expect. The problem is that I still have the trial version installed which I can't uninstall. I have a feeling this is related somehow to Vista Premium's UAC settings.

Hi
I tried to install and uninstall in Vista x32 with UAC settings set to on and off. I was not able to uninstall under account without administrator privileges.
Also it seems that uninstall under non Administrator account (or when UAC=on) results in error message during uninstall and it becomes impossible to uninstall the package.
I uninstalled the package only after I had set UAC=off.
As Administrator (and UAC=on) I was not able to uninstall the package.
Please log in as Administrator and set UAC=off. In that case you will uninstall the package as I did.
Thank you.
