Leading space character when exporting to ASCII

Post by joro »

Hello!

I have a problem when I try to export a report to a text file (ASCII-format).
Every single line has an empty space at its beginning.
When I deactivate the option "DrawBorder" then export works correctly. It seems that you preserve the first character of every line in case that you need to draw a border.

I have attached a sample report and the 2 text files which i generated when exporting to "text file".

best regards

Hello.

The empty border is displayed in text if the Draw Border option is set.
This is the right behavior. If you don't need it then disable this option.

Thank you.

Hello!

1. It is not possible to export a table if I disable the "draw border" option.
2. It is not possible to export a horizontal line or arectangle if I disable the "draw border" option.

Can you please look into the problem again because I do not think that this should be the "right" behavior.

Thank you.

What problem do you have with exporting tables?

Hello,

it is better but it still does not export the file correctly.

I have attached 2 sample reports and their txt conversion.

If you leave a little aspace on the left side of the page it works correcty. But if all your components are left-justified then the export still puts a leading space character in front of the text.

Can you please keep searching for a solution to this problem?

Hello.

We export components in one column if it is.
The border creates a new column.
This is a right behavior. The text should be in one column is there a border or not.

Thank you.
