Cross Tab Design

Post by victorinable »

Hi,

Good morning. I was trying to create a cross tab from the Web Editor (Used in an MVC4 Application) and I was surprised when I saw I can't define which data are columns, row or summary. I guess I have something wrong, as I should be able to design it, isn't it? I attached an image of what I see.

I'm using last release of Reports.WEB

Thanks in advance.

Hello.

Sorry, but Cross-tab editor is not yet implemented in HTML5(Mobile) Designer.
We are working on this Designer and adding new features constantly.
You could add cross-tab in stand-alone Designer and then open the report in HTML5 Designer.

Thank you.

Hi Aleksey,

Ok, it will be interesting if it's possible to disable the option of inserting Cross-tab in HTML editor if there is no way of designing from there. I mean, if users (That will be able to design only from Web Designer) cannot deign them, I'll like not to show that option because of potential bad-expereience from them (I mean that they are able to do half-things only in this case)

How can I do that?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

There is no standard solution for this task. But as a way, you can use the Javascript code for disable some components.
We need some additional time for prepare the sample for you.

Thank you.

Hello,

We have few additional questions.
We make an example to disable the adding and editing crosstabs.
What to do with crosstabs, which are already added to a report earlier?
- Display them in the designer?
- If display, whether to allow users to delete them?
- If not display, whether to remove them from the report automatically?

Thank you.
