Crossing Data

Post by victorinable »

Hi,

I would like to create a Cross-tab that should be getting data from 2 Different Datasets. One of them have diferent periods (Lets say, register per month with start/end date. The other has data that has a column with start/end active date and the building where they are located (It contains data from employees). So the final result is the sum of people in each building per period.

So I can't relate them to create a single table and then do a simple cross-tab. The excel-based report is attached in the post, can you please give me any clue on how to achieve that result?

Periods and buildings can vary.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

As a way, you can try to use the Cross-Data band components with master-detail construction for your task.

Thank you.

Hello,

Unfortunately, there are not any samples with Cross-Data component, this component used in specific situations.

Thank you.

Hi Aleksey,

If I send you what I have done so far, can you help me a little? even giving me some hints will be ok... I suppose I could succeed with a little of help.

Anyway, there's somewhere I can have some tutorial/formation about this tool?

Thanks.

Hi Aleksey,

Finally I decided to create a single Dataset with both tables and use a cross-tab component.

Thanks for the support!
