GroupHeaderBand and export to Excel
GroupHeaderBand and export to Excel
Hi,
I have a report with a GroupHeaderBand and a DataBand inside this group (see attachment).
When users print this report, I would like that the column headers only are repeated on each page.
When exporting to Excel, I would like that the column headers are only displayed at the beginning of each group, so that it doesn't break each list.
How can I do that ? I tried with column header band, header band... I cannot manage to do what I want to have...
Thanks!

Re: GroupHeaderBand and export to Excel
Hello.
Here is a sample report template. Use the Header Band. Set the Print On property of the header to Except First page.
You should print the report as usual. But when you export the report to Excel set the Use One Page Header and Footer option.
Thank you.

Re: GroupHeaderBand and export to Excel
Hi,
Thank you Aleksey for your clear answer.
I did what you recommend and with the same options as in your example.
The report prints correctly.
But when exporting to Excel, the problem is that the HeaderBand of the 2nd page still shows up in the Excel file. Even if I set "Use one page header and footer", it prints once, the second page one.
See the screenshots/files attached.
Thanks!

Re: GroupHeaderBand and export to Excel
Hello.
If there is only one group in the report then you could try next report template. If this is not satisfy your needs, please, send us more information about your issue with test data.

Re: GroupHeaderBand and export to Excel
Hello,
I'm joining 2 files:
- an exe with test data. When printed, only the column headers should be repeated on each page. The group description should only be displayed when there is a new group.
- an example of Excel file, as I would like to have it (only one group description and one column header row per group).
Is it clearer?
Thank you for your help.

Re: GroupHeaderBand and export to Excel
Hello.
You are using quite old version of our assemblies.
There was a lot of improvements since this build.
Could you upgrade to the latest build or send us a VS project? Then we will be able to test your project with our latest assemblies.
Thank you.
