Dotted Red Line Appearing at bottom of Page

Post by russr999 »

Hi,

A dotted red line has appeared at the bottom of my report but there is still space left on the page.
The report is A3 size (420x297) and this is appearing at 410mm.
the report Header is 18mm, the databand is 378mm and the footer is 3mm = 399mm well below the 420mm!

Does anybody know what causes this or how to remove it??

Thanks

Hello,

This is design-time only marker of the end of your page - bottom side of the page and bottom side plus bottom margin.
Size of the page will be increased automatically in designer when you reach bottom of the page. So you can continue place
new bands on your page.

Thank you.

Hi....
Thanks for the reply.
I am still confused though..... :?

My report size is 420mm in height but my components only add up to 399mm in height so it should not be exceeding the page height....
How can I only show the page size I have setup (eg: A3)? and not have the page increased automatically?

This only appear a day or two ago. When I was building the reporting it was not there.
When I saved it can came back to it later it was not there but now it has just appeared.

Thanks,
Jan

Hello,

A report designer really does not increase the page size! Increased size used only as additional design surface and designer increase it because you almost reach the bottom side of the page (~80%).
Your page still have size A3 and size of your page is not changed in run-time! You can continue place bands on your page in designer-time over the design page size.

Thank you.
