Multiselection on report wider than designer window

Post by m.n »

Hello,

Components are placed from the left report's edge to the right one and some of them are invisible at the moment, because of current zoom level.
How can I select all those components? Can I pan the report while selecting?

Hello Mariusz,

You can use Edit-Select All (Ctrl-A) menu item from report designer.

Thank you.

Yes, I could if I'd like to select all components.
But my question is about panning while in multi-selection mode. Or an alternative method to quick multiselect of components currently outside the window.
I have components placed, for example, in two horizontal lines. How to select only those which are in the first one? Now I must zoom out to see all components then use multiselection feature, then zoom in to original level. Or Ctrl-click on every one (and pan between clicks, of course). Quite non-comfortable, isn't it?

Hello Mariusz,

We can think about autoscrolling for design surface. What you think about this?

Thank you.

Autoscrolling is quite good idea for me.
Manual panning seems to be worse.
Thank you.
