Bug: crashes on 64 bit?

Hi,

I deployed an application which included the Stimulsoft Report.NET designer to some internal users.
On 32 bit it all works fine
On 64 bit machines (XP Pro 64bit) the designer opens but when I click on preview the whole application crashes without any warning and without any messages.

When I run the designer in the supplied demo application it works fine.

Any ideas what this could be?

Hello, Patrick.

We have checked the behavior on the Vista 64 bit. All worked correctly.

We did not make tests on XP 64 bit yet. I am sorry but we still did not set it up.

Hi Edward,

just in case you don't know yet there is Virtual Server and VMWare Server both for free:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsservers ... ualserver/
http://www.vmware.com/products/server/

You can set them up on a Windows Server x64 and then you can have as many test environments as you like Vista, XP, Win2000, 32 bit, 64 bit all on one machine

You can even download full virtual machines for virtual server with per-configured versions of Vista, XP, Windows Server etc.

I just tested the pre-release from 14.Aug and it still crashes without any warning on 64bit...

Do you have any time line when you can look into it?
