processing Duplicate columns

Hi All
I cannot get the report to hide duplicate columns if the column is an expression similar to the following

Lot: {LineItems.SiteLotNumber} {LineItems.SiteAddress} {LineItems.SiteSuburb}

In each case the respective fields are the same

If I include each of the fields as seperate columns then the Hide Duplicate works but not for a single column which uses the above expression.

Any ideas
