Color from data column for auto created series

Where do I find info for how this works and what it really does? I'm using a doughnut chart.

For example the description says: "A name of the column that contains the color of the auto created series. Color must be presented as string"
What kind of string? Like "Blue", or "255,255,255" or what?

Hello.

You should set the Auto Series Key Data Column property.
You could use any format of the colour.
Look at the attached report template.
