Opening "Render To" throws Null Pointer Exception

in a table I select a cell and try to open the "Render To" combobox.This results in a null pointer exception.

It's impossible to set Render To property pf the different components to the same value.

ok it was my fault to select two cells, but that's no reason to throw null pointer exceptions at innocent users.
