Setting Data Source for chart causes report to fail

On the most recent pre-release build, a bug was introduced.
Now, if you click on a chart property, and choose a Data Source, when the report is run, it displays the error
Error running report: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Previously this worked fine.

I am trying to set the chart Data->Filters and Data->Sort properties which seem to need the Data Source being set.

One other problem that is related ... if I place a chart in the report title and do not choose a Data Source, it will use any filter or sort criteria from a DataBand later on in the report. It should not do that. If the chart is in the report header, settings in databands should not affect the chart. I can see that if I placed the chart in the databand header that sort/filter for the databand may apply ... but not when the chart is in the report header or footer.

Attached is a report that shows the problem. The report as posted will not run ... it shows
Error running report: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
If you clear the report DataSource then the report runs fine.
