knowledgebase not opening up

I am not sure whether i should post this problem here or not !!

I am getting the following error while trying to access the knowledge base

"Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)"

There were some problems. Now our Knowledge base works.
