Run designer passing data sources

Hello,

I haven´t understood how to design data with an existing data source.

We have two datasources: one defined by an SQL string and another defined by a C# class. In the first case I should use the columns in the SQL and in the second, the attributes/member from the class.

Question 1) Can I persist these kinds of data sources together with report definition? or
Question 2) How can I call designer so it could use the fields available?

I´m asking here but any web designer should do (flash, silverlight)
