Shrink Font To Fit
Shrink Font To Fit
Hello.
How is the ShrinkFontToFit property to be used? Is there a way that the report shrinks the font by one point until it fits the text component? I'm asking this because when I use this property, it shrinks my text to the size of 1, even though the text fits when it's 6pt in size. The default size of the text is 8 pt.
I'm using the 2007.1 version of Stimulsoft reports.
Thanks!

Shrink Font To Fit
Hi.
I solved my problem the harder way - by programming in the BeforePrinting event using the Length of the string and accordingly shrinking the fontsize. But if there is a way to do it with ShrinkFontToFit property, it would be much better and save me the trouble and time by coding this for every Text component in the report.
So, if it could be done with ShrinkFontToFit property, I would be very happy if You could help me.
Thanks!
P.S. I'm using the StimulReports 2007.1

Shrink Font To Fit
HI. It's me again.
I think there is still a tiny problem concerning the ShrinkFontToFit property.
I tested the new version, and everything is working fine except one little thing. The problem is that when in the design mode the text fits the Text component and the ShrinkFontToFit property is set to True, when I preview the report the Font shrinks altough there is no need for it.
I also attached the 2 pictures that have a line touching the text on the right side. In the design, You can see that the text fits comfortably in the Text component, but when You go to the preview, the font shrinks (the line no longer touches the right side of the text.
I hope I didn't make my explanation too complicated.
I would be grateful if You could take a look at this.
Thanks!
P.S. I also tried using the WYSIWYG property, but the same thing happens.

This is one of the "feature" of gdi+. Please check build from 14 June. Also i recommend you use TextQuality mode for this text equaled to Typographic or WYWIWYG.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Ok. I thought it could have something to do with the GDI.
Once again, thanks for Your help!
