problem with pdf

Hi
I have a report with a field of comments on it. It prints them fine on the report but when we send it to pdf it reduces the data down to one line.
In the report it is one line of a text box but when it prints it expands to the number of lines it needs to print the comment.
I can send the pdf and screen shots if you need.
