Export Styles from Designer in Windows vs MacOS

Hello,

we are creating reports on different systems and we need to export the styles.
On windows it always exports them as xml files and on MacOS as json.

Is it possible to export the styles on windows machines as json?
Or is there a reason to limit that in this way?
