Excel export number formatting issue

Post by bbialas »

Hello Stimulsoft Team,

I'm currently working on a Stimulsoft package version update, and I encountered a problem with the Excel Export feature.

I update stimulsoft-reports-js package from version 2024.3.4 to 2026.1.1 (I know, big update  ).

Problem description
One of my cells contains a value -50377.34
This is my text formatting setup:

.
In the old package version, my excel export file contains a cell with the correct value -50377.34 and proper formatting:

In the new package version, the same setup, I get different value exported to the excel file which is -5037734.
Dot decimal sign is removed and excel formats the call in a wrong way.
.
Interesting fact:
When I set "Decimal Digits" option in the designer to 1, then the value exported to the excel file is -50377.34 and the Excel formatting option is set to 1 correctly.

When I set "Decimal Digits" option in the designer to 0, it cuts out the dot decimal symbol completely...
.
The expected behaviour:
I need to get full value exported to the excel file which is -50377.34 and excel should contain cell formatting for decimal places set to 0 (that was the old package version behaviour).

Please let me know if you need more details.
Thank you in advance!
