Stimulsoft Reports.Mobile running under Mono?

Post by patwolf »

Since Stimulsoft Reports.Mobile just uses ASP.NET on the server side I was wondering if it could run under Mono (to allow hosting it on Linux)?
http://www.mono-project.com/Compatibility

For one of our projects linux hosting is a requirement thats why its interesting.

Thanks!

Hello.

We didn't try to run the Reports.Mobile under Mono.
You could try our trial version.
Please, let us know about results.

Thank you.

I'm sure you have a lot more unit tests you could run to verify it fully works.
And if yes you can also add this to your website "Linux/Mac OSX supported via Mono"

If I test it would be much less conclusive (ie not solid enough for you to put anything on your website) and if I run into an issue I wouldn't know if its quick or difficult to solve.

This tool might help you pin point potential issues quickly by running them against the assemblies: http://www.mono-project.com/MoMA

So would love to know if its a officially supported configuration.

Thanks

Just ran the Analyzer on the dll's and it doesn't look good at all with 700+ PInvoke statements (see attachment).
So I think we can close the ticket.

Thanks
