Please offer a new Access Database Fileversion

Post by haraldfi »

Hello,

I am a long term Stimulsoft User. When migrating to a new computer, I noticed a stupid
Microsoft Office 2013 issue with the Demo Data.

Your Demo Database:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate 2014.3 Trial\Bin\Data\NWIND.MDB

is in a very anccient format (Access 97 or something very very old).

Recent Office 2013 64bit Access versions can't open the file - and there is no way to convert it :(

Here some MS "official" comments on this topic:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/offi ... 0d79c78ed9
The only answer I got from Microsoft was "use an intermediate version of Access".
I DON'T have an intermediate version of Access that's why I bought 2013
I face palm on this ;)

Can you please use the "accdb" file format in upcoming versions and can you please put
a converted "accdb" in the forum?

Thank you a lot!

Hello.

This database is used in our demo reports.
We will not convert this database.
If you need the database for the Access 2013 you could download it from Microsoft site.
Please, read next instruction.

Thank you.

You can use a Database in 2007 format for your demos, too.

The JetEngine supports this.

In 2015 there is really no need for the Access 97 mdb format.

Can you please offer a 2007 version in here? the 2007 MS example is different to yours.

Hello.

Sorry, but we have no such database for Access 2007.
This database is for demonstration of a few reports.
You could use XML Demo database or download the SQL server backup.
We are not going to make changes in our Demo data.

Thank you.
