Stimulsoft Report layout issue on Export to MS Word format

Post by aranjan »

Hi,

We are using Stimulsoft 2016.1 for our WPF application. We have a template which has issues while saving it as MS Word
format. After the second page the text and images seem to shift upwards. I have seen this behavior in MS Word format,
Open Data format and even in RTF format (when we select "Export Mode" as Table, works fine when the Export Mode is Frame).

I have attached the report template along with data exported in XML format and all the images which are required for the report.

This problem is quite old for us. We thought that after changing to new Stimulsoft this would be solved but it's still there.
Any help regarding this would be highly appreciated as our customers can't use the Word format at all with this report.

PS: - The image paths in the XML file point to drive "E:\MapData", so please change it if doesn't work on your side.

Hello.

Sorry, we can't reproduce the issue.
There is no MapReportDataSet.Misc and MapReportDataSet.WdsElementMaps Data Sources in the XML file.

Could you also specify what export settings you use?

Thank you.

Hi,

Please take the attachement "MapData.zip" from this reply.. I have removed the unnecessary tables and added the rest.
I have also attached the report output exported in PDF and Word respectively and the Report Settings screenshot.
The PDF export is fine but the Word export the layout has issues after second page (as you can see in the attached Word file).

I have unchecked the options "Use Page Headers and Footers" and "Remove Empty Spaces at Bottom of Page".
Keeping the option "Remove Empty Spaces at Bottom of Page" checked or unchecked doesn't affects the output.

Regards,
Amit

Hello,

We made some improvements but need some time for testing.
We will try to include this fix in one of the next builds.

Thank you.
